What the hell are the Flaming Lips doing on the front page of CNN.com? Oh yeah. Warner Records.

I've never been able to get past She Don't Use Jelly, and almost ten years later I've never picked up one of their CDs. Maybe I'll break down and pick up Yoshimi. The editors at CNN.com would approve.

I only bring this up because I like this quote from the interview:

I think most artists, if they are being totally honest, will tell you that the fear of creativity is that a lot of it is just a lucky sort of cosmic accident. That -- yes indeed -- we're trying to do something and we want something to happen, but a lot of times you're in there playing and really nothing great does happen.
...I mean, I know it does work, and I know it does happen, but for the most part ideas and art and all that stuff doesn't work.

One of these days I'll get back in the basement and fire up Pro Tools again.
